TOP TEN TUESDAY, January 1

Bilde

Welcome to 2013′s first Top Ten Tuesday, an excellent weekly meme created by the bloggers at The Broke and the Bookish. Every week they have a different theme for bloggers to post their top tens about, and this week we’re listing our…

Top ten books that I resolve to read in 2013

1. J.R.R Tolkien

One of my goals this year is reading Tolkien’s epic books. I have read the Lord of The Rings, so I have left to read The Hobbit, The Silmarillion, The Children of Hurin etc.

2. George R. R. Martin – A Dance with Dragons

3. Charles Dickens – Great Expectations

4. Orson Scott Card – Ender’s Game

5. Patrick Rothfuss – The Doors of Stone

…If it comes out in 2013! Last year I read the books #1 and #2 in the Kingkiller Chronicle. They are quite exquisite. My rewiev on the books you can find here.

6. Cormac McCarthy – The Road

I’ve had this in my bookshelf for a while now… Can’t wait!

7. Terry Pratchett & Neil Gaiman – Good Omens

8. Cornelia Funke – Fearless (Mirrorworld #2)

Loved book #1 of the Mirrorworld series. I absolutely recommend it.

9. Robin Hobb – Assassin’s Apprentrice (Farseer #1)

10. Margaret Mitchell – Gone with the Wind

How can I get on with 2013 without some classics too?

What about you? Which books do you resovle to read in 2013?

  1. Great list and a nice mix of books there. I just read The Road a few months ago and really enjoyed it. Hope you manage to get through this list. My Top Ten is HERE.
